Man United negotiating a third deal after De Jong and Tyrell Malacia deals
Man United negotiating the closure of a third deal after De Jong and Tyrell Malacia transfer deals.
After weeks of speculations, Manchester United’s transfer strategy now seems to be coming to light as the club makes bids on two players in the same day and works to finalize a third move.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano revealed that the Red Devils hijacked Lyon’s Tyrell Malacia deal after a protracted Frenkie de Jong deal.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the agents of Malacia and Man United are in ‘direct contact’ on Wednesday to discuss personal terms.
Romano claims that the Red Devils are confident that they will be able to complete the deal for the 22-year-old ‘soon’, with the defender keen on a switch to Old Trafford.
A fee is reportedly agreed with Feyenoord and personal terms are now being negotiated.
Man United negotiating Lisandro Martinez’s transfer
The Times claims that after the Malacia deal is completed, United will consider a bid for Lisandro Martinez.
Arsenal are also competing for Martinez after losing out on Raphinha.
Argentinian outlet Tyc Sports also claims that United have lodged a €40 million bid for Ajax center back, Lisandro Martinez.
The report states: “United have asked Ajax to keep them updated as to the situation with Martínez as they discuss how much to offer for the left-footed defender.”
Erik ten Hag, the Man United manager, hired Martinez while he was an Ajax player.
With the Erik ten Hag advantage in the club’s back pocket, United will be confident Martinez would choose a move over the Gunners.
