Gachagua roasts Karua after she asked Deputy President William Ruto to respect President Uhuru Kenyatta.
UDA Deputy President-designate Rigathi Gachagua has responded to Raila’s running mate Martha Karua after she asked William Ruto to respect President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Gachagua said Martha Karua has no moral authority to lecture anyone on respecting President Uhuru.
Gachagua’s comments come after Karua while addressing a rally in Nyandarua county on Saturday, Karua labeled the DP as unfit for leadership.
She cited the DP’s plan to probe Uhuru if he wins the presidency as a tell-tale sign that he’s unfit to lead.
“Any leader who threatens an individual be it the president or any other person is not worth being elected as a leader,” Karua said.

However, While peaking during a Church service at St. Thomas The Apostle- Patron Saint of Athi Catholic Parish, Igembe South, Meru County, on Sunday, 3, June, Gachagua said that Karua and the entire Azimio bandwagon have no moral authority to lecture anyone about Uhuru.
He said that he has been trying not to talk about Karua, who he termed as his sister but was annoyed by Karua’s move to lecture Ruto after it was alleged that Ruto has plans to lead Uhuru’s prosecution if he wins the August election.
He said that Karua herself needs a seminar so that he(Gachagua) can teach her more about Uhuru.
“Nimesikia my sister Martha Karua trying to lecture Ruto on how to respect Uhuru. You have no moral authority to lecture us. You have never respected Uhuru and have never supported him. You need a seminar so that I can teach you how to respect Uhuru,” Gachagua said.
Gachagua claimed that Karua also walked out of Kibaki in 2007 when Kibaki needed her the most and also did not support the will of the Mt Kenya region in the 2013 and 2017 elections.
“Anybody who went against Kibaki does not deserve to be a leader in Mt Kenya. You went against Mt Kenya in 2013 and have never had time for Uhuru. Spare us your lecture and concentrate on your project. Respect Ruto. William Ruto does not play on your league,” Gachagua said.
