It has now come to light that Erling Haaland’s current Manchester City contract contains two distinct release clauses for 2024 and 2025.

The 21-year-old forward penned a five-year deal at the Etihad worth a reported £ 375,000 a week.
Erling Haaland release clauses
Spanish outlet Marca now claims that Haaland has two release clauses embedded into his new contract at the Etihad, with both differing in price depending on the year they are activated.
Haaland was heavily linked with a move to La Liga champions Real Madrid and despite his latest transfer, Spanish media are still tracking his movements.
It is claimed that at the end of 2024 – which would be at the end of his second year at Manchester City – clubs will be able to sign the Haaland for a sum of €200 million.
Then, at the end of his third year of contract – the summer of 2025 – a club will have the opportunity to sign the player for a sum of €175 million.
The availability of these release clauses in Haaland’s contract are linked to achieving minimum sporting objectives at Manchester City.
According to the Marca report, after Haaland has achieved these goals during his tenure at the Etihad, the player will be able to end his contract using one of the release clauses.
Along with the previously mentioned information, the Spanish daily AS reports that Real Madrid will try to replace Karim Benzema in 2024 with Haaland, who will have a €200 million release clause in that summer transfer window.
