Chelsea in advanced transfer talks for a second signing after reaching Sterling agreement

Chelsea in advanced transfer talks for a second signing after agreeing on personal terms with Raheem Sterling.

According to The Times, Chelsea and Manchester City are currently in advanced transfer talks for Chelsea to sign Dutch center-back Nathan Ake this summer.

For the Dutch center-back, Manchester City will demand close to £50 million.

The fact that the defender’s contract with City goes through the summer of 2025 may be the cause of the club’s high asking price for him.

From 2011 through 2017, Nathan Ake played for Chelsea managing only 17 first-team appearances with the Blues, though, and he was loaned away three times.

Raheem Sterling agreement

Meanwhile, the two clubs have previously been in talks over the signing of Raheem Sterling.

The Blues have reached an agreement on personal terms with the England international and are now closing in on a deal worth around £45 million, according to reports.

Football.london reports that personal terms and a fee have been agreed for Raheem Sterling to switch to Chelsea from Manchester City.
