Arsenal owner Kroenke ready to spend in January, Report
Arsenal owner Kroenke is ready to spend in January if Mikel Arteta wishes to strengthen his squad
According to transfer journalist Pete O’Rourke, Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke is reportedly willing to increase his investment if Mikel Arteta wants to bolster his team during the January transfer window.
The Arsenal supporters have previously criticized the club’s owner for failing to manage the organization effectively and for failing to make team investments. The last several seasons, though, have seen a change in the way things are.
The north London club’s hierarchy didn’t hold back in the just-ended transfer window either, spending almost £120 million to bolster the squad after spending about £142 million last summer.

Speaking on GiveMeSport, O’Rourke has stated that Kroenke isn’t going to restrict the funds in the upcoming transfer window and is ready to back Arteta if the Spaniard wants to reinforce the squad in January.
The journalist further claims that Arsenal have already started planning ahead of the winter window and the money will be available to sign the Gunners boss’ priority targets.
O’Rourke said:
“I think they are busy planning for the January transfer window as well where money will be available if Mikel Arteta wants to strengthen his squad. The Kroenke’s have come in for a bit of stick in the past, but they are putting their money down and backing Mikel Arteta and, so far, it seems like things are paying off with the success Arsenal are having, especially on the recruitment front.”
In recent years, Arsenal has made wise financial decisions and signed young, skilled players with a lot of potential.
Under Mikel Arteta, the Gunners have had more success in the transfer market.
The north London club, however, fell short of strengthening their midfield and flanks, where they are lacking in players, despite making five significant purchases this summer.
It is therefore predicted that the club management will aim to reinforce these two areas in January.
