Boehly tells Chelsea to get rid of £100k-a-week player in January transfer

Boehly tells Chelsea to get rid of £100k-a-week player, Hakim Ziyech in the January transfer window.

Chelsea are reportedly looking to offload Hakim Ziyech in the January transfer with Boehly sanctioning the sale.

Ziyech, who earns £ 100,000 a week, is stuck in a tough moment at Stamford Bridge having played just five games across all competitions so far this season.

The 29-year-old was missing through illness from last night’s Champions League 2-0 away win over AC Milan, too.

As it stands, he’s still under contract in West London until 2025.

Boehly tells Chelsea to offload Ziyech

According to 90min, the Morocco international is free to leave amid interest from Ajax and AC Milan.

The report adds Graham Potter’s side would be willing to let the attacker exit on loan.

However, Chelsea’s co-owner, Todd Boehly, is actually pushing for a permanent sale to raise transfer funds and make room in the squad.

Potter’s appointment as head coach has wiped the slate clean for the squad, but from the outside, it still feels like Ziyech is going to be some way down the pecking order in terms of the forward positions.
