Nominated MP Denar Hamisi Joseph died after being involved in a grisly road crash outside his home in Karen.

According to eyewitnesses, the lawmaker was in his car alone on Saturday morning, December 6.

His white SUV reportedly lost control, swerved off the road into a ditch, and collided with a tree.

Eyewitness Mathew Owire recounted that Hamisi succumbed to the impact, having sustained severe head injuries and heavy bleeding.

Together with other onlookers, he helped retrieve the body from the wreckage before police arrived to secure the site and take it away.

The vehicle, which was badly damaged at the front, was later hauled to the police station.

“I arrived and found him unconscious, bleeding heavily, and unable to respond. I called on my colleagues to assist in pulling him out of the vehicle, but his head was trapped against the door, which wouldn’t open. We considered alerting the police, but by the time they got there, we had already taken the body out, and the officers then took charge of the situation,” said Owire.
