CS Kindiki announces that the government will narrow investigations on missing body parts in the Shakahola massacre during the postmortem process
CS Kindiki announces that the government will narrow investigations on missing body parts in the Shakahola massacre during the postmortem process.
On Monday, May 1, Interior Cabinet Secretary (CS) Kithure Kindiki revealed that the government had reduced focal areas in the ongoing investigation into the Shakahola massacre.
The CS told the media that a commission of inquiry would be established to hasten the investigations.
Missing organs from the victims are one area of attention, as is the question of whether police officers or other public officials helped Pastor Paul Mackenzie with his deadly cult.
“If any of our people have their organs missing, we will tell the world. There is nothing we are hiding.
“We will find out why the organs are missing, who took them, and where they were taken,” the CS revealed.
CS Kindiki further explained that transferring security officers from Kilifi County was part of his ministry’s plan in investigating who aided Mackenzie in committing the heinous crimes. He maintained that no leader would be sparred in the investigation.
“It is an administrative measure to ensure that there is no one who was in office until the crime was committed is there.
“We will move up the ladder and in case we find any other person who ought to have taken some action and they did not, we will tell them to step aside,” he warned.
The Interior CS, in his speech, assured Kenyans that the Commission of Inquiry that would be formed will make sure no stone is left unturned.

“Other than establishing how these circumstances came into place, the commission will investigate, inquire and make recommendations on action that must be taken on any public officer who aided Mackenzie,” Kindiki assured Kenyans.
Kindiki also sent his sincere condolences to families who lost their loved ones in the Shakahola massacre.
“Nothing of this nature will ever happen in our country again. Never again will we have the nature of these horrendous crimes on our soil,” he vowed.
President William Ruto on Sunday, April 30, revealed that the government would form a task force to investigate Mackenzie’s cult that led to the death of over 109 0f his followers.
“”I will consult all religious leaders in the country to have a task force to weed out the characters who want to abuse religion or to run businesses and do things that are anti-religion in Kenya,” the President vowed.
