Dennis Itumbi demands justice for murdered Meru-Based blogger, Daniel Muthiani alias Sniper.
Itumbi’s post demanding Justice for Murdered Daniel Muthiani has elicited reactions among Kenyans with others reminding him he’s a friend to President Ruto
Itumbi had lashed out at people behind the gruesome murder of Meru-based blogger Daniel Muthiani, alias Sniper calling on investigative authorities to take action.
In a tweet on Monday, December 25, the Digital strategist demanded justice for Muthiani, who was a popular political activist in Meru county.
In his message, Itumbi mentioned the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and the Director of Public Prosecution, saying justice must be served for Muthiani.
“I am a blogger. Blogging is not a crime. The only Christmas message is #JusticeForSniper Hii ufala na ujinga must stop.Disagree with me, but do not kill! Enough is enough! Justice must be served,” Itumbi said.
Kenyans, however, lashed to Itumbi’s post, with some questioning why he was bemoaning on social media rather than reaching out to the appropriate authorities.
The vast majority of commenters on Itumbi’s post advised him to take advantage of his close connection to President William Ruto to find justice for Muthiani.
Many suggested that Itumbi should directly tell the president about what happened to the Meru blogger.
Sholla said: “Like for real u have Ruto s number , y not text him.”
Kijana Ya Baba (Parody): “Can you please send this message to your boss and relevant investigative authorities instead of shedding crocodile tears here. “But si uko kwa serikali tbh. Why rant like us on social media when you can take action!”
king Kong!: “Funny that the government that should be finding justice for sniper is also Complaining and creating hash tags.”
Gabriel Oguda: “Just send it to your boss, wacha kutubeba ufala nanii.”
