KNEC and Kenya Railways announce job opportunities; How to apply

Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) and the Kenya Railways Corporation (KRC) have announced job opportunities in various departments within the state corporations
The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) and the Kenya Railways Corporation (KRC) have announced job opportunities in various departments within the state corporations.
In a notice on Tuesday, January 7, KNEC disclosed that it is seeking to recruit six qualified individuals for the position of Examinations Officer – KNEC Grade 7.
The examinations council noted that it will offer a competitive remuneration package commensurate with the responsibilities of the position on a one-year contract, with more details available at https://www.knec.ac.ke/vacancy-announcement/.
“Interested and qualified candidates should fill and submit the Application for Employment Form KNEC 2A – (External applicants) and Application for Employment Form KNEC 2B – (Internal applicants), an application letter, accompanied by certified copies of academic and professional certificates, comprehensive curriculum vitae giving details of daytime telephone contact, e-mail address, current remuneration (enclose copy of your latest pay slip), names and current contacts of three referees, on or before 28th January 2025,” KNEC stated.
The applications should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Kenya National Examinations Council, New Mitihani House, South C, P.O. Box 73598-00200, Nairobi.
On the other hand, Kenya Railways advertised 16 senior positions within the corporation.
They include General Manager Rail Operations, General Manager Finance, Manager Insurance Services, Rail Safety Manager, Revenue Assurance & Credit Control Manager, Procurement Manager, Passenger Services Manager, Sales & Marketing Manager and Strategy & Corporate Planning Manager.

Others are QMS & Risk Co-ordination Manager, Manager Civil Engineering, Manager Signaling, Electrical & Communication, Technical Audit Manager, Marine Operations Manager, Deputy Director – Finance & Corporate Services and Deputy Director – Research & Business Development.
“Interested and qualified candidates must complete the Kenya Railways application form KR/HR/08 that is available on the Kenya Railways website, attach their testimonials, certified copies of certificates, National Identification Card (ID) and Curriculum Vitae (CV) to be received by 5:00 pm on Tuesday, 28th January, 2025, East Africa Time (EAT),” Kenya Railways stated.
