The 53-year-old Mr. Joseph Onyango Joel Migundo, a Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) nurse was charged for stealing hospital medicine.
He was accused that on diverse dates between October 26, 2021, and December 9, 2021, at KNH, he stole 12 bottles of Human Albumin Solution, all valued at Ksh 81,600, a property of KNH.
The narcotics are said to have come into his possession as a result of his work at KNH.
Another charge of handling stolen property is also being pursued against the KNH nurse.
He was allegedly arrested in possession of four bottles of alleged narcotics on December 9, 2021, at the KNH hospital, which were thought to be stolen hospital property.
According to court documents, KNH security had received information that a nurse was stealing medications from the hospital’s critical care unit.
The officers on duty staged a premeditated ambush, and it was discovered that the accused was supplementing the treatment provided for a patient in a coma at the hospital with a specific prescription.

Before Nairobi Senior Principal Magistrate Bernard Ochoi, Migundo denied the charges and was released on Sh 50,000 cash bail.
The case will be mentioned on January 27.
