The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has announced application for students seeking to join the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC)

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has announced application for students seeking to join the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC).

KUCCPS, in a notice issued on Saturday, November 16, announced that it had opened its portal to allow for the application of 20 KMTC programmes with unfilled vacancies.

In the notice, the placement body noted that the application portal would be open for one week, from November 16 to November 24 as only limited slots were available. 

“We have re-opened the KUCCPS portal to allow applications for 20 KMTC programmes with unfilled vacancies. The portal will close on November 24, 2024,” the placement body announced.

According to KUCCPS, the slots include seven certificate programmes and 13 diploma programmes offered across different campuses and colleges in the country.

The certificate courses listed for application include certificates in medical engineering, medical emergency technician, health records and information technology, community health assistance, and public health.

Among the diploma courses announced by KUCCPS for application are diplomas in health counseling, physiotherapy, community health, social work, health insurance management, health promotion, and occupational therapy.

Other diploma courses advertised for application are diplomas in medical engineering, clinical medicine and surgery, laboratory sciences, and nutrition and dietetics. 

How to apply

Once on the student portal, learners will be prompted to enter the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) Index Number, KCSE Year, and Password. 

Applicants were advised to use their Birth Certificate Number or Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) Number as the initial password. 

Once logged in, click the tab “Programme Lists” and head to the KMTC programmes from which a list of Diploma and Certificate Programmes will be displayed for selection.
