Dorcas Rigathi Gachagua leads mass wedding of 84 police officers
Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, the spouse of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, graced a mass wedding ceremony of police officers on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at St. Paul University in Limuru.
In a statement shared via her X account, the event brought together 84 officers, celebrating their unions.
The former second lady, known for her advocacy for family values, applauded the officers and their partners for prioritizing the sanctity of marriage.
“This morning we witnessed another colourful mass wedding for our 84 police officers at 10am at St. Paul University, Limuru. Last year, 32 couples solemnised their union during the 2023 uniformed mass wedding for the dedicated security officers,” she shared.

In 2023, she attended another event celebrating a cohort of 32 couples also in uniform who had tied the knot in an inaugural mass wedding.
She congratulated the couples on their first anniversary, noting the sacredness of family as a foundation for society.
“Warmest congratulations to the 32 couples who solemnized their union during the 2023 uniformed mass wedding for our dedicated security officers. This far, the Lord has been faithful. From Genesis, family has been a sacred foundation, and we celebrate the faithfulness that continues to sustain these bonds for generations. Congratulations!
