Man United senior management unhappy with ‘poisonous’ player targeting Harry Maguire
Man United senior management is said to be unhappy with ‘poisonous’ player targeting Harry Maguire.
Maguire has had a terrible season, with multiple leaks from the Manchester United dressing room regarding misgivings among the players about Ralf Rangnick’s decision to keep him.
Manchester United players believe they know who the ‘poisonous’ teammate who has been pursuing Harry Maguire all season is.
Maguire has received a lot of flak for his efforts this season, which has been a disaster for the Red Devils.
Throughout the year, both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his successor Ralf Rangnick have used the England international frequently.
This is despite the centre-back having a difficult personal season and United having the worst defensive record in the Premier League’s top eight.
Maguire’s teammates appear to have been questioning him as well.
Maguire has had a terrible season, with multiple leaks from the Manchester United dressing room regarding misgivings among the players about Ralf Rangnick’s decision to keep him.
Maguire’s status in Rangnick’s starting lineup has been ‘privately questioned’ by some in the United squad, according to a report from The Times at the start of March.

The Englishman’s performance had also failed to impress his teammates, with some saying he ‘had not reached’ the club’s expectations.
The effect of the leak, according to the Daily Mail, was “poisonous” to the United dressing room.
So much so that most players now feel they know who the person behind the report is.
The attack on Maguire further heightened the ‘level of suspicion.’
It is stated that Ten Hag will find it ‘hard to rebuild’ relations between those squad members, with man united senior management also said to be ‘unhappy’ with the player many believe to be behind the criticism of Maguire.
Rather ironically, that player is described as ‘not being exempt’ from blame for his own performances this term.
Ten Hag has a sizeable job on his hands to repair what is an increasingly fractured dressing room at Old Trafford.
Some in the club’s hierarchy are said to believe that the players have ‘exploited’ a ‘power vacuum’ that was created when it was decided to postpone appointing a permanent boss until the summer in the wake of Solskjaer’s sacking.
Rangnick has attempted to fix the ill-feeling that exists between players, meeting with senior squad members throughout the game.
But while ‘sensible suggestions’ were forthcoming, all too frequently those players held widely opposing views that proved too difficult to reconcile.
