Manchester United transfer roundup as they seek to boost their squad ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.

Manchester United are working to boost their squad ahead of the 2022-23 campaign, with a number of players linked to the club.

However, Manchester United fans are growing impatient with the Glazers yet to sanction any signings at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have interest in Frenkie de Jong, Pau Torres, and Jurrien Timber but no signing yet.

Manchester United transfer roundup

Despite the recent talk, Manchester United is said to have yet to make a formal offer for Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong.

United has not made an official proposal for the midfielder, according to Sky Sports News, as they are presently seeking to reduce Barcelona’s asking price.

The 25-year-old is still being connected with a move to Old Trafford, with the Red Devils reportedly making a verbal offer of €60 million (£52 million) plus €10 million (£8.7 million) in add-ons for the Netherlands international.

 Porto’s Vitinha

Man United are reportedly at the head of the queue for Porto midfielder Vitinha, with the club identifying him as a leading summer transfer target.

The 22-year-old has a €40m (£34.8m) release clause in his current deal.

However, according to Record, Man United are leading the race for the Portugal international and could activate his release clause in the coming weeks.

Christian Eriksen

The 30-year-old’s deal at Brentford is due to expire at the end of June, and he has allegedly made the decision to leave the Bees this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur continue to be linked with a move for their former midfielder, but according to The Athletic, Man United have offered him the chance this summer.

However, Christian Eriksen has insisted that he will not rush a decision on his future.

Speaking after Denmark’s UEFA Nations League contest with Austria, Eriksen has said that he will not “rush anything through” when it comes to his future.

“No (rush the decision), and they know that too,” Bold.dk quotes Eriksen as saying.

“There are many criteria and many different things inside such a decision. Sometimes it goes fast in football, other times a little slower. You are not in control of it yourself. I have to make the best decision and not rush anything through.

“My phone stays on, but I also know my agent well enough to know that he only calls if there’s something exciting.”
