Police launch manhunt for mother who beat 27-year-old son to death in Murang’a Country.

Detectives in Gichagi II village in Ithanga Kakuzi, Murang’a County, are pursuing a 53-year-old woman who, in a fit of rage, reportedly beat her son to death following an altercation between the pair on the night of October 21, 2023.

According to reports, the suspect committed the crime the night her son Naftaly Mumo came home intoxicated.

Witnesses said that the mom, who was reportedly drunk as well, started fighting with her son over construction blocks that they both claimed.

The altercation quickly turned violent, with the suspect reportedly using a blunt object to repeatedly ‘knock some sense into her son.’
