The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) issues an updated process for the application of new plates following the migration of services to eCitizen.
The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has outlined the steps for obtaining the next-generation plates through eCitizen, in accordance with President William Ruto’s mandate to transfer all government services online.
The NTSA announced on Monday, January 22, that the application procedure has been streamlined into three easy stages.
“To improve service efficiency, the process involved in the application of reflective number plates has been reduced to 3 simple steps,” NTSA announced.
“Motorcycle/motor vehicle owners will receive SMS notifications upon verification and approval of the applications,” the safety authority announced.
According to NTSA motorists will be charged Ksh1,550 for a single plate and Ksh3,050 for a pair of reflective plates.
