ODM Sec Gen, Edwin Sifuna is far better than our Malala; UDA MP

UDA MP Didmus Barasa UDA Secretary General Celophas Malala is incomparable to Edwin Sifuna of the ODM party

UDA MP Didmus Barasa UDA Secretary General Celophas Malala is incomparable to Edwin Sifuna of the ODM party.

Didmus Barasa, a Kimilili MP, has asserted that Celophas Malala, the UDA Secretary General, is unqualified and incompetent to hold the position.

During an interview on K24 on Thursday, the UDA MP claimed that Malala couldn’t match his counterpart Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna of the ODM party.

“Edwin Sifuna understands his job description as the Secretary General, ours, Cleophas Malala doesn’t. You cannot match the two,” Barasa said.

“When comparing the performance of a particular individual, you compare him in terms of how he has responded to propaganda. Have you ever heard Malala anywhere defending the government?” he posed.

An SG of a party, like an Evangelist, preaches to people, professes the party’s political beliefs, and recruits new members, according to Didmus Barasa.

The Kimilili MP, however, pointed to Malala and asserted that every gathering he had ended in chaos and failed to bring people together, adding that the UDA Party SG sides with one party.

In addition, Barasa accused Malala of being a mole of the Opposition and maintained he should be dismissed.

He further accused Malala of inciting people from the Western region against Prime Secretary and Foreign Affairs CS Musalia Mudavadi and Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetang’ula.

“You find the UDA SG convening meetings and asking Mudavadi to explain how many projects he has steered because he is a leader in the national government. He goes ahead to say the Western caucus is conducting a fundraising yet we are in government,” Barasa said.

“This is opposition language and that is why we are saying Malala is a mole and should be shown the door.”

Malala has been calling on Mudavadi and Wetang’ula to dissolve their ANC and Ford Kenya parties respectively and align with UDA.

Malala said this would give them a vantage point as they position themselves for the presidency in the 2032 presidential race.
