Former Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya has broken silence on viral photos of him and his alleged lover Mary Biketi

Former Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya has broken silence on viral photos of him and his alleged lover Mary Biketi.

Speaking on Monday, April 29, Oparanya said the photos with Biketi were genuine and wondered why people were circulating them online.

According to the ODM deputy leader, the photos were leaked to the press from the studio where he took.

“I have seen someone circulating my photos. Those are genuine photos. I don’t know why someone would waste time trying to circulate them. It is very unfortunate that wherever I took those photos they leaked them to the press. Those are very decent photos and I don’t know the interest that people have when you have taken photos with a loved one,” said Oparanya.

The former Kakamega Governor noted that there has been fake news about his health since the photos were leaked.

Oparanya mentioned that he is okay and has been in Mombasa engaging with people from his community.

“There is now fake news I am in hospital I am sick and here I am. I have a big family to protect. Those sending out fake news should stop. I have been in Mombasa for a few days meeting my people from my community,” Oparanya added.

The ex-governor’s photos with Biketi have been trending on social media for the last few days sparking different reactions from netizens.

In one of the photos, Oparanya is captured standing side to side with the alleged lover and displaying affection by holding her waist. In the other photo, the veteran politician is captured in a conversation with Biketi while sitting in a bar-like setting.
