Pastor Ng’ang’a reacts to Benny Hinn admission of making false prophecies

Neno Evangelism’s Pastor James Ng’ang’a responds to Benny Hinn after he apologized for giving false prophecies during his evangelistic meetings.

In an interview with local media, Pastor Ng’ang’a noted that it is possible for any long-serving man of God to encounter such challenges.

“He (Benny Hinn) is in his 70s and has been preaching for 50 years, so he may be missing some anointing. The anointing of God does not increase with age; it decreases so that it can be passed on to younger people. At his age, he should retire from certain church activities. Even though we’re the same age, he’s been preaching longer than I have. He should now be guiding others, advising them on the right path, sharing his experiences, and pointing out what to avoid, Ng’ang’a said.

Benny Hinn visited Kenya in March 2024 and his healing event was attended by prominent figures in the government, including President William Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto.

Ng’ang’a, who attended the event, noted that Benny Hinn seemed to struggle during the ministry.

“When he was in the country (Kenya), I noticed that he had a hard time delivering his message. Even the bishops who ministered that day stopped answering my calls. They were my friends, but now they no longer pick up the phone after I openly said that Benny Hinn was struggling. This is normal and is why Benny Hinn recently apologized and admitted that some of his statements were not from God”.

When asked if he planned to retire after 50 years to avoid such problems, Ng’ang’a replied:

“I will not retire, but I will concentrate on blessing people. I will never prophesy for people after 50 years of preaching. Benny Hinn is a good man, but his age has caught up with him.”

Ng’ang’a was responding to Benny Hinn’s recent apology for what he described as false testimonies and prophecies in his crusades.

Speaking on the Strang Report on YouTube, Hinn expressed regret for allowing false prophecies to circulate in some of his evangelistic meetings around the world, stating that he deeply regretted these actions.

“I am a human being and I make mistakes. If there are two things I regret in my gospel ministry, it is that I was not wise enough about the testimonies of prophecy on a number of occasions. I had guests who came to the Crusades who, I think, not only caused trouble in people’s lives but also damaged my reputation because their prophecies were not true. That went too far,” Hinn said.

The evangelist, famous for his televised sermons, admitted that he was human and sometimes made mistakes.

He asked those who watch his televised sermons from different parts of the world to forgive him.

“There have been times when I thought God had shown me something and He had not shown me and I spoke. Unfortunately, I wish I could go back and address that. Some of the prophecies I have given have not been accurate or from the Lord. I ask people’s forgiveness for that. But who is perfect? I am only human”.

“Some of them went beyond deliverance and you know that anything beyond deliverance is not prophecy. We should not allow that; I allowed it but later forbade it. But that was several years ago when I stopped it,” he added.

When asked how he would like to be remembered, the man of God said he would like to end his ministry better than he started it.

“When I started this ministry, it was a humble beginning and I want to finish with a similar simplicity,” he remarked.
