ODM party calls on Kisii Women Rep Dorice Donya to apologize after lecturing bodyguard who had lost wife.

ODM Party Communications Director Philip Etale has urged Kisii Women Representative Dorice Donya to apologize to her bodyguard after lecturing him in a video circulating on social media.

In a statement via X on Wednesday, December 27, Etale observed that the video portrays the Kisii Women Rep as an intolerant leader.

“My friend Hon. Donya the video doing rounds on social media doesn’t make good of you. It has portrayed you as an intolerant leader. You owe that Police Officer an apology,” Etale stated.

This comes after the Woman Rep on Tuesday recorded herself lecturing the police officer for not reporting to work for three weeks.

From the phone call conversation, the officer had lost his wife and hence had not reported to duty.

“How are you, officer, what happened, I have not seen you for three weeks at work. I know you lost your wife and you buried her two weeks ago. So you stayed for three weeks because you are mourning your wife and you didn’t come to work.

“How is mourning your wife related to your work, you are paid for what you produce at work. You have not come to work for three weeks and you are telling me you are mourning your wife, I Know very well you are mourning and you buried her two weeks ago. You people are not serious, I don’t know what’s wrong with people,” Donya stated.

The video attracted heavy criticism from netizens who questioned the Kisii Women Rep’s compassion.
