Ruto convenes an urgent meeting with MPs over ‘Hutsler Fund’ ahead of cabinet swearing-in

Ruto convenes an urgent meeting with MPs over the government’s legislative agenda ahead of cabinet swearing-in today.

President William Ruto will on Thursday morning, October 27, host Members of Parliament at State House to assess the progress of the government’s legislative agenda.

According to reports, the agenda will also include a discussion of the proposed Ksh50 billion Hustler’s Fund and the procedure for approving government spending and policy initiatives.

Additionally, the meeting is expected to resolve the impasse among MPs over who will lead four important House Committees: Administration and National Security, Energy, Blue Economy, Transport, and Mining.

The parliamentarians will also discuss important tactics for enhancing their contribution to the goals of the government.

The meeting is set to be the third Parliamentary Group meeting since President Ruto ascended to the top throne.

In September 2022, Ruto chaired a PG meeting in Naivasha that deliberated leadership positions in the Senate and National Assembly.
