Kenya Kwanza MPs claim Ruto’s move to support Raila Odinga for the AU job will earn him a direct win in the 2027 general elections.
A faction of Kenya Kwanza Members of Parliament now predicts that President William Ruto will be re-elected without opposition in the 2027 presidential election.
The lawmakers said the recent political moves by President Ruto have hinted at a strategy to penetrate his political rival territories as he builds his chances for the 2027 polls.
Caleb Mule, a Machakos MP, claimed that Ruto’s pledge to back Raila Odinga’s candidacy for the AU position is a ploy to win over Odinga’s supporters and strengthen his chances of winning reelection bid in 2027.
