Ruto’s Running Mate Is Set To Be Unveiled Today With Tharaka Nithi Senator Kithure Kindiki Being the Main Contender.
Ruto’s running mate is set to be unveiled today, Saturday, May 14, 2022.
Sources in his campaign team say the announcement will be made anytime in the morning, with speculations already that Tharaka Nithi Senator Kithure Kindiki could be named.
Others in the proposed list are Kirinyanga Governor Ann Waiguru and Mathira Mp Nderitu Gachagua.
“The announcement will be made today by the Deputy President himself,” an official in his office said.

Renowned blogger Digital Strategist at the Presidential Campaign of DP William Ruto Dennis Itumbi tweeted the announcement will be made today.

Meanwhile, his main rival in the August election, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, is expected to unveil his running mate on Monday ahead of the Tuesday deadline set by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
Odinga set up a team of eminent persons who interviewed 11 candidates before presenting three names to him to choose from.
The proposed candidates are Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua, former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth, and Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
