Safaricom PLC has announced internship opportunities for students and graduates starting February 2025.
The leading telecommunications firm invited qualified and interested candidates for technology, business, and innovation positions.
Safaricom said the opportunities are open for dynamic young talent seeking to join its team.
The telco’s Annual Internship Program for 2025/26 will be offered across different departments including Human Resources, Finance, and Cyber Security.
“We are offering exciting opportunities across HR, Legal, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, Audit, PR & Communications, Enterprise Risk, Cyber Security, and Technology,” read the advert in part.
The internship opportunities are offered in three categories: Three-Month Industrial Attachment: For ongoing students whose intake will be in April, July, October & January.
Six-Month Internship: For recent graduates (within the last 48 months), and those awaiting graduation, with intake in April & October.
Pupillage: For students from the Kenya School of Law, with intake in April & October.
The Safaricom internship programme is:
Open for ongoing university students or graduates within the last 48 months.
Available for full-time internship during specified intake periods For a fixed period of 3 or 6 months without extension.
The company advised the applicants to only select one intake in the year for which they will be available for the internship.
Safaricom urged all students and graduates, especially those under the category of people living with disabilities (PLWDs) to apply.

How to apply for Safaricom internships
Candidates are required to create their profile on the Safaricom career portal, upload relevant documents and fill in accurate contact details.
After completing the profile, the applicants can apply or submit their details online.
The company said all applications should reach the recruiting manager’s desk on or before Thursday, February 13, 2024.
Safaricom also invited applications from qualified Kenyans in January and February 2025 for several open job positions.
