Have you heard Raila complain about Sifuna? – Senator Osotsi to critics

Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi has called out ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna's critics, warning against attempts to undermine senior leaders
Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi has called out ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna’s critics, warning against attempts to undermine senior leaders.
Speaking in Kakamega on Sunday, February 9, Osotsi described Sifuna as a brilliant and visionary leader who must be respected within the party.
Osostsi questioned why some party members were complaining about Sifuna’s leadership while ODM leader Raila Odinga himself has never raised any issues with him.
“Edwin Sifuna is one of the most brilliant and visionary leaders of the ODM party; he must be respected. I will protect every Luhya in ODM. We will not be pushed around by junior people in the party. You’re complaining about an official of the ODM party; have you heard Raila Odinga complain about Edwin Sifuna?” he asked.
Acting ODM Party Leader Anyang’ Nyong’o also defended Sifuna noting that he is a leader for the future.
Elsewhere, during the same meeting, Saboti MP Caleb Amisi issued a warning about the future of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), suggesting that the party could split into two factions.

He expressed concerns about the party’s direction in light of Raila Odinga’s deal to work with President William Ruto.
“I would like to say, when Raila Odinga is done with the African Union, we will meet again so that the party leaders explain to us if we are in the government or not. If you fail to do that, you’re going to end up with two ODMs; one in government and one in opposition,” he said.
Amisi went on to warn the party leadership against mismanagement, adding that such a split would result in a betrayal of the legacy of Raila.
“You will have done a disservice to the many years Raila has fought for this party. If you spoil this party, you will have spoiled the work of Raila Odinga for many years,” he concluded.
