Attack turns glory after a man bites off one of the aggressor’s lips managing to detach it from other parts of the body.

The residents of Mutunguru in Gatundu South are in shock following a violent altercation between a man and his attackers that became bloody when he managed to bite off one of the aggressor’s lips and detach it from other parts of his body.

The man identified as Joseph Macheme was waylaid by four criminals on Friday, October 20, 2023, at night as he was going home when the incident happened.

He claimed the three of the attackers moved to different sides of the road while the other began attacking him and managed to gravely injure him on his head.

Things got ugly when the victim managed to get hold of the criminal’s mouth which he bravely bit forcing the attacker to scream for help.

Macheme said he bit off the criminal’s lip and disconnected it from his mouth in self-defense.

Other criminals, he stated, fled off when they got wind of what had transpired.

“I reported the matter to police who assured me that they would arrest the attacker as he left behind his identity card during the scuffle. Police have also processed me for treatment and assured me that they will take over the matter,” Macheme said.

The bizarre incident has left locals stunned and tongues wagging about the occurrence decrying that cases of insecurity have increased in the area.

The locals attributed increased cases of insecurity in the area to the release of tea bonuses, and money that the daring criminals have been targeting.

Led by Miriam Wambui, the locals urged the security apparatus in the area to beef up security by increasing police patrols and arresting anyone found on the wrong side of the law.

“This is quite shocking and we believe these criminals have invaded this village because tea bonuses have been released. We cannot live in this state and our plea to the government is, please come and save us from the criminals who want to harvest where they never sow,” Wambui stated.
