According to Siaya County Director of Education Mr. Mbugua Kabaki, the girl’s mother reported the matter to the school administration Tuesday to request if arrangements could be made for her to bring her remaining paper to the hospital.
This prompted the school principal to visit the hospital, where the administrator found her placed on oxygen support as the situation had worsened.
Mr. Kabaki added that the principal then advised the supervisor not to bring the paper and unfortunately, after a few hours, the hospital called the Principal to report that the candidate had passed on.
Lab test results, according to a police report showed that the deceased student suffered from Kidney failure.
