UK police issues alert over wanted suspect hiding in Kenya for 5 years
UK police issues alert over wanted suspect hiding in Kenya for 5 years.
On December 26, police in the UK issued a warning on a 25-year-old who was allegedly hiding in Kenya after fleeing the United Kingdom.
Through a statement, the authorities pleaded with citizens of both nations to come forward with information that might aid in the capture of the attacker.
Authorities in the UK said that the suspect stabbed a 20-year-old man in West Ham, London, at a train stop.
Following the crime in 2017, the suspect escaped to Kenya, where he is thought to be hiding.

“Almost five years have passed since this horrific incident that took a young man from his family, and our investigation very much remains ongoing,” cops stated.
“Taofeek Lamidi’s family deserves justice, and we will not rest until we locate those responsible and bring them before the courts,” they added.
Although the assault happened five years ago, the inquiry located the suspect in Kenya, according to Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley.
Jolley claims that the suspect was last seen on CCTV in the UK while sporting a black Puma sweater and black tracksuit bottoms.
“Memorial Avenue is a busy residential area close to West Ham station. I know that there were people in the area who witnessed the incident, and I need them to come forward,” Jolley appealed.
“Any information provided will be treated with the strictest confidence,” he insisted.
However, the deceased family faulted the authorities for slowing the investigation process.
They urged the UK Metropolitan police to expedite the process to serve them justice.
