US influenced the August presidential election outcome in which Raila lost to Ruto according to Winnie Odinga.
Winnie Odinga, the daughter of Raila Odinga, made the shocking accusation that the US government meddled in the elections on August 9.
According to Winnie, the west has always meddled in African elections, and Kenya’s 2022 election was no exception.
The East Africa Legislative Assembly (EALA) candidate claimed in an interview with Citizen TV that the western countries had turned Africa into their playing field and had influenced the results of the presidential election.
“Have you ever worn virtual reality glasses? That is what Kenya is to them. You put it on and you play. Kenya is like a PlayStation to them,” she said.
On a scale of 1-10, Winnie emphatically declared the interference in the August poll was at thirteen, stating that he was willing to show how it was manipulated.
“Absolutely. I’ll even show you how,” Winnie added.
Winnie also denied allegations that she purposefully undermined Raila’s presidential campaign due to her purported incompetence as a manager.
She added that she had barely slept in a year and that, except from Raila, she had worked more than anyone on the campaign team.
Winnie added that she had done her utmost to get Raila ready so he would be successful in his fifth attempt at the presidency.
“This is my father and I don’t think anyone worked harder on that campaign than me except him. People were there for their own agendas; they were there to sabotage us and do all sorts of things but I prepared him as best as I could for him to succeed,” Winnie said.
The former Prime Minister’s daughter further said issues that happened on the election day were not her cup of tea.
She refused to answer a question asked on what happened on August 13, 2022 ( election day), if Azimio ran the best campaigns.
“The election day is not a question for me to answer. Ask (Wafula) Chebukati,” Winnie said.
