We’ll bring 90 percent, 70 is less; Mudavadi assures Ruto

Mudavadi assures Ruto that he and Moses Wetangula they’ll deliver 90 percent of the western Kenya vote.

ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi has promised to deliver 90 percent of Western Kenya votes to the Kenya Kwanza alliance in the August polls.

The ANC leader dismissed the media attention caused by the Kenya Kwanza coalition’s demand that they get 70% of the vote in order to get 30% of the cabinet.

Mudavadi stated the Western region is set to deliver big votes to the DP while speaking in Limuru on Monday during the Kiambu county economic forum.

Mudavadi assures Ruto 90 percent

Mudavadi stated the agreed 70 percent is less and that they will rally Mulembe nation to vote for Ruto.

“Mimi na Wetangula tuko hapa, Ingo imeshona. 70 per cent ni Kidogo, tutaleta 90 per cent,” Mudavadi said.

Mudavadi claimed that their support for Raila resulted in the ODM leader receiving a large number of votes comparable to what they are promised Ruto.

He expressed optimism that the tides in Western Kenya have turned, and that the Kenya Kwanza alliance will win the day.

“We have been backing Raila’s presidential bid and we delivered that 90 percent, but he left us hanging,” he said.

If Mudavadi and Wetangula obtain 70% of the vote, they will receive 30% of government resources, cabinet and ambassadorial appointments, according to the Kenya Kwanza coalition agreement.

If they reach their targets, Musalia will be named main cabinet minister, and Wetangula would be named Speaker of the National Assembly.

The arrangement caused a heated controversy, with some Kenyans questioning the two leaders’ capacity to deliver the votes.
