“We’re working overnight to ensure Raila Odinga becomes president” RMS owner SK Macharia

RMS (Royal Media Services) owner SK Macharia has explained why he no longer accompanies Raila Odinga, on his campaign trail.

During the early beginning of Raila’s campaigns, RMS owner SK Macharia was always present at almost every event.

However, he has recently been missing in the Azimio campaigns with many asking about his whereabouts.

But speaking on Friday, July 15, SK Macharia explained that he resolved to seek votes for Raila through other means other than the conventional campaigns.

The business tycoon, owner of Royal Media Services which owns Citizen TV, and Inooro Tv, among others, revealed that he was engaging stakeholders while drumming up support for Raila.

“Some of us here do not appear in rallies, but we work overnight in various ways to ensure Raila becomes president. Because this country is crying to become corruption free, and that is the only way you can correct this country,” SK Macharia said.

Along with involving stakeholders, SK travels the nation in a caravan with musicians, rallying support for Azimio la Umoja.

In defending his decision to publicly support Raila and Martha Karua, SK insisted that he was confident in their ability to fight the nation’s pervasive corruption.

“I have been very close to them and I can assure Kenyans that we will have a corruption-free country if we put them in office, unless they change after we have elected them.”

“Raila is a true son of his father. He has always championed greater causes than self. He fought for multi-partyism and paid the price by spending 8 years in detention. He came out stronger to fight for more reforms, including a new constitution,” added SK.

Macharia further reaffirmed that his political beliefs and business interests are separate entities that do not conflict with one another.

He added that he is exercising his constitutionally guaranteed freedom to engage in politics.
