William Kabogo, the former Kiambu governor and nominee for Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communications, and Digital Economy, has committed to delivering fair and equitable services to all Kenyans.
Speaking to the media, Kabogo emphasized his dedication to inclusivity and integrity as he prepares to take over the ICT portfolio from Margaret Nyambura, who has been nominated as Kenya’s High Commissioner to Ghana.
“I want to assure Kenyans that I will serve without bias or discrimination. My focus will be on delivering fair and equitable services to every corner of this country, ensuring no one is left behind as we work towards a thriving digital economy,” Kabogo said.
Kabogo highlighted the need to bridge the digital divide and improve access to technology and information in all regions of the country.
He also pledged to directly engage with Kenyans, travelling across the country to monitor the implementation of key projects that can promote the economy.

“I will traverse the whole country to ensure the promises made by the Kenya Kwanza administration in the ICT are fulfilled,” he stated. He further urged Kenyans to unite to support the Kenya Kwanza government’s efforts to fulfil its campaign pledges. “It’s time for us to put aside our differences and work together. Let’s support the government as it works to transform this country and deliver on its commitments to the people,” the former Kiambu governor said.
As reported earlier, President Ruto announced changes to his Cabinet, bringing back prominent figures from Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration.
According to a press statement released by State House spokesperson Hussein Mohammed, President Ruto nominated former Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe as the new Agriculture and Livestock Cabinet secretary. Kagwe will succeed Andrew Karanja, who has been serving in the Agriculture docket since Mithika Linturi’s removal.
Former Nakuru county governor Lee Kinyanjui has also made a comeback in the Kenya Kwanza government after Ruto appointed him as the Cabinet Secretary for Trade, Industry, and Investment.
