CUE further noted that degrees from unauthorized institutions will not be recognized in Kenya.
“For the avoidance of doubt, any institution operating as a university or degree awarding and which does not appear on the Commission list of approved institutions is illegal and their degree qualifications will not be recognized in Kenya,” CUE added.
This comes days after DCI detectives raided Northwestern Christian University’s graduation ceremony in Mombasa and arrested the Chancellor and the Vice-Chancellor of the institution.
In a statement, DCI said CUE made a complaint that the institution was not accredited to offer courses in Kenya.
The also sleuths seized the academic certificates that were being awarded to the students at the graduation ceremony.
