Kenya Power (KPLC) announces electricity black out in four counties over planned maintenance scheduled on Sunday

Kenya Power (KPLC) announces electricity black out in four counties over planned maintenance scheduled on Sunday.

In a statement Saturday night, KPLC announced that the counties which include Nairobi, Machakos, Bungoma and Mombasa will experience blackout on Sunday.

The planned interruption is meant to pave way for scheduled maintenance.

“Hello. Please be advised, the following areas will experience service interruption tomorrow 29.10.2023,’ Kenya Power said.

In Nairobi, the planned interruption will affect areas such as Siaya Road, Siaya Close, Gatundu Road, Gatundu Crescent, Tinderet Avenue, Part of Mandera Road, Dik Dik Gardens, Kenya High School, Gussi Avenue, Mandera Lane, Jacaranda Special School, part of Ring Road Kileleshwa, Kangundo Road, Kunguru Close, Tabere Crescent, Gichugu Road, Laikipia Road and adjacent customers from 9 am to 5 pm.

Kenya Power also announced that a section of Mombasa Road such as Alpha Centre, Ramtons, Steel Makers, Manchester Outfitters, prime cartons, Ocean Group, Kenbro, SAI ceramics, Patmos, Laneeb plastics, chemical & solvent, Nyoro Construction, Kenbelt and adjacent customers will also be affected.

In Mombasa county, the planned interruptions will be witnessed in areas such as Yacht club, part of Moi Avenue, Kengen houses, KMA, Inchape, OLA petrol, Liwatoni mosque, Taava plaza and adjacent customers from 9 am to 5 pm.

Similarly, in Machakos, the planned interruptions will affect parts of Athi River such as Daystar University and Aimi ma Lukenya county from 9 am to 5 pm.

Areas that will experience blackout in Bungoma county are Wananchi, Lovington estate, Molo, Kwa Dinah, St Angela and adjacent customers. 

The power blackout will start from 9 am to 3 pm.
