Police officer assaults colleague over allegations of damaging station printer in Kericho.
It has been reported that a police officer in Kericho East sub-county, Kericho County, assaulted his colleague after inviting him to their station regarding a printing machine malfunction.
According to a police report, Gideon Kipng’etich called Caleb Manani to the station at around 16:00 hrs on Tuesday to give an explanation on why he thought Kipng’etich was the one using the station’s computer and printer before they developed a technical fault.

“On arrival at the station, an argument ensued between the two officers, and in the process, Kipngetich grabbed Manani and pushed him on the ground and he started punching him on his face causing injuries on his mouth and nose,” read part of the report.
It is also reported that the station printer, worth Ksh.30,000, was also destroyed.
Manani was rushed to Kericho Referral Hospital where he was treated and discharged in stable condition.
