Embakasi East MP Babu Owino says he will not support calls for dialogue between President Ruto and Raila Odinga.
ODM leader Raila Odinga has continued to meet resistance in his calls for dialogue with the latest being his close ally, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino.
In a statement on Friday, July 19, the outspoken legislator declared that he would support Kenyans on the matter.
Babu stated that he would not support President William Ruto’s administration, adding he was ready for the consequences.
“My decision is to be with the People. I will not support this defunct Government no matter the consequences,” he wrote. Babu has long been touted by political pundits among leaders who could step up in the absence of the ODM leader.

A section of Azimio leaders has also announced their stance on the proposed coalition Cabinet between Raila and Ruto’s government.
Led by Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, they stated that they would not support the Kenya Kwanza broad-based government.
Kalonzo asserted that supporting the Ruto-Raila coalition would betray Kenyans, including the youth and millennials who participated in protests.
The Wiper leader mentioned that reorganising Cabinet members would only be cosmetic unless the new Cabinet is formed after a convention and not a dialogue.
