The prime suspect in the murder of a mother, daughter and niece in Eastleigh has been linked to yet another murder of a woman in Nairobi

The prime suspect in the murder of a mother, daughter and niece in Eastleigh has been linked to yet another murder of a woman in Nairobi.

In a statement dated Wednesday, November 6, DCI linked Hashim Dagane to the mutilated body that was discovered in Lang’ata Cemetery last week.

According to DCI, investigations after the discovery of the mutilated body revealed that the victim was a woman who was last seen with the suspect.

The investigative agency indicated that the woman was captured on CCTV shopping at a supermarket in Nairobi on October 19 and later at an apartment where she stayed with the suspect in Lavington.

“Armed with crucial leads, the detectives have established that the lady was in the company of Hashim Dagane, who was residing in the said apartment where the duo spent time before Dagane was on 31/10/2024 captured leaving the apartment carrying two bags suspected to have contained the remains of the victim that were later in the day discovered at Langata cemetery,” read the statement in part.

The police added that the apartment owner cleaned the house after the suspect left with the bags, even repainting the room.

“He is being sought, and it is just a matter of time before he is smoked out of his hideout to face relevant charges,” DCI noted.

“It is believed that the woman in question could be Deka Abdinoor Gorone, who was reported missing at California Police Station on 24/10/2024. The remains are being subjected to forensic analysis to ascertain the identity of the victim.”

Dagane was arrested on Sunday in connection with the murder of the Eastleigh 3. He was arraigned in Court on Monday even as police continue with investigations on the bizarre killings.
