Citizen TV’s Yvonne Okwara nominated for KEG presidency
Citizen TV’s Yvonne Okwara has been nominated to run for Kenya Editors Guild (KEG) president.
In a notice issued to members on Monday afternoon, Sophia Kaibiria, the Returning Officer, announced that the polls will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025.
Okwara, currently the Business News Editor at Royal Media Services, will go against the incumbent Zubeida Kananu.
Meanwhile, one candidate was nominated for the vice-president position, Francis Openda, similar to the Print Media Member category (Linda Bach); Online Media (Kenfrey Kiberenge); and Television (Millicent Awuor).

In the Radio category, the nominees are Toepista Nabusoba and Agnes Mwangangi, while Nathan Masambu and Julius Bosire were nominated as Adacemia members.
Three candidates were nominated as trustees: Martin Masai, Ruth Nesoba and Mbugua Ng’ang’a.
