Juja residents, lawyers demand that gov’t produce missing MP George Koimburi.
Lawyers representing Juja MP George Koimburi, along with residents of Juja, are demanding that the government produce the legislator, who went missing on Friday.
Koimburi is said to have been accosted by individuals believed to be security agents shortly after issuing bursaries at the Gachororo Primary School grounds.
The MP reportedly fled on a motorbike after a dramatic car chase involving his official vehicle. His driver was allegedly intercepted, taken to DCI headquarters, and later released on Friday night.

The MP’s legal team has condemned the incident as unlawful and politically motivated, accusing the police of violating court orders.
They say Koimburi had secured an injunction against his arrest following charges of forgery filed at the Kiambu Law Courts back in February.
Meanwhile, residents who had gathered at Juja Farm expecting Koimburi to lead a bursary issuance event have voiced frustration, accusing the county government of using state machinery to silence opposition voices.
