Sheep sentenced to three years in jail after being found guilty of killing a woman in South Sudan.
In a bizarre lawsuit, a sheep in South Sudan has been sentenced to jail for three years after it was found guilty of killing a woman.
The ram was taken into police custody after it headbutted 45-year-old Adhieu Chaping, breaking her ribs.
Chaping died immediately due to injuries inflicted on her.
The ram was apprehended and taken into custody at a Police Station.

Police Chief Major Elijah Mabor told local21news that the sheep was found guilty of murder and will be sentenced to a military camp for three years.
“Our role as police is to provide safety and separate fights. The ram was apprehended and currently under custody at a Police Station.”
Asked why they couldn’t put the sheep’s owner in jail instead of the animal, the officer explained that the owner was not guilty of the offense but the animal was entirely accountable.
“The owner is innocent and the ram is the one who perpetrated the crime so it deserves to be arrested then later on the case shall be forwarded to customary court where the case can be handled amicably.”
However, the sheep’s owner, Duony Manyang Dhal, was ordered by the court to pay the victim’s family five cows.
