Former presidential aspirant Reuben Kigame has maintained that Mining Cabinet Secretary Hassan Joho should apologize to Kenyans or resign from his position.
In a statement on Thursday, December 5, Kigame stated that Joho should apologize to Kenyans over his threats that he would go after a section of Kenyans condemning the government.
The musician claimed that the CS seemed to be in support of some vices witnessed in the country recently.
“Joho needs to apologize to Kenyans or resign for threatening to come for those who use social media to ask for public participation, accountable leadership, and values in government. He seems to support abductions,” Kigame remarked.
His remarks come after Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna claimed on Wednesday that the Senate will summon Joho over his remarks.
Sifuna stated that the CS should explain why he was threatening Kenyans and who he was exactly targeting.

“We, as Members of Parliament, will summon Joho to Parliament to explain why he is threatening Kenyans, saying he will come for them. Who is he coming for, and in what way? He should remember that he is no longer the Governor of Mombasa or the Deputy Party Leader of ODM; he left those positions. He is now a Cabinet Secretary and should speak as one,” Sifuna stated.
Speaking on Tuesday in Taita Taveta County, Joho claimed that there was a section of Kenyans on social media who were unpatriotic.
“I want to tell the young people of this country, the nation cannot be governed that way. You become so unpatriotic on the internet saying some leaders must fall. How unpatriotic can you be as Kenyans that even when one of your own has a chance to lead in a good space and you start saying they must fall? We will come for you,” Joho remarked.
