Atwoli convenes Azimio meeting at his Kajiado home
2 min readAzimio meeting; The COTU Secretary-general Francis Atwoli has today convened Azimio meeting at his Ildamat home in Kajiado county.
The Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance meeting held today 10th, April 2022 was meant to discuss emerging issues in the coalition ahead of the August 9, polls.
Atwoli in an interview with a local daily said the Azimio meeting was meant to iron out a few issues in the coalition.
He also said they discussed ways of ensuring the coalition is united post-party primaries that have over the years proved to be divisive.
The meeting was attended by ODM leader Raila Odinga, Jubilee Vice-Chair David Murathe, Siaya Senator James Orengo, Former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth, Former Jubilee secretary general Raphael Tuju, Former Westlands MP Fred Gumo, and Navakholo MP Emmanuel Wangwe.

The meeting comes amid fractions in the Azimio movement.
Last week, six parties in Azimio la Umoja movement threatened to bolt out saying they had been sidelined in key decisions in the newly formed outfit.
