Chelsea boss Tuchel is said to be ‘open’ to discussing the Manchester United managerial position with the club.
Manchester United’s summer overhaul appears to be gathering pace amid reports Chelsea boss Tuchel is ‘open’ to taking charge at Old Trafford.
Manchester United have placed Ralf Rangnick in interim charge of the club following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s departure in November as they search for their next permanent boss.
And United are believed to be keen to take advantage of the turmoil at Chelsea to try and prise Tuchel away from their Premier League rivals.
It comes as Cristiano Ronaldo faces a decision over his future at the club, and the terms he may have to accept in order to stay.
And Marcus Rashford has been linked with a sensational summer transfer to Barcelona.
Mauricio Pochettino and Erik ten Hag are so far been the frontrunners. But with Chelsea currently plunged into a state of crisis as a result of the sanctions placed on owner Roman Abramovich, it appears the German may be readying his Stamford Bridge exit strategy.
And reports have now claimed Tuchel could be willing to leave Chelsea for the right offer.
Reports that the Old Trafford hierarchy had officially turned their attention to Tuchel.
United believe that could open the door for them to make a spectacular swoop for Tuchel – and a new report from The Athletic claims that there could be scope for them to do so.
The report outlines that, although Tuchel has hinted he would stay on at the club under a new owner, some sources believe that he would be open to hearing United’s ‘pitch’ in light of the current situation in west London.
