The Guardian reports that Chelsea are “paying close attention” to Lewandowski right now and reckons manager Thomas Tuchel is “a huge admirer.”

Chelsea are looking for a replacement for Romelu Lukaku this summer, although the report adds “Chelsea’s chances of signing Lewandowski are slim at the moment.”

The Blues were unable to sign or sell players until the club is sold.

However, Todd Boehly’s consortium is expected to buy the club from Roman Abramovich soon.

Meanwhile, Goal also reports that Chelsea have tried to sign Lewandowski “at least three times in the past” and could try again this summer.

Lewandowski revealed over the weekend that he has informed Bayern that he will not be renewing his contract, which runs out in 2023, and that he hopes to find a solution.

Bayern has stated that he will finish his current contract, although it has been suggested that they may be willing to sell for the right price if a suitable replacement can be found.
