Fabrizio provides updates on Liverpool’s pursuit of Matheus Nunes and Jude Bellingham amid constant links.
Italian transfer guru has provided an update on two of the most hotly linked names amid constant links to Liverpool this January.
Writing for CaughtOffside, the Italian journalist said: “Liverpool are monitoring Matheus Nunes alongside other candidates for the summer transfer window, he’s always been appreciated, already when he was at Sporting.
“The main focus remains Jude Bellingham, Nunes is one of the midfielders they like; but nothing will happen in January for Nunes.”
The Reds have been involved in a possible transfer for Jude Bellingham this summer with Matheus Nunes also featuring in Liverpool’s transfer.
Liverpool has been targeting the Portuguese player to bolster their midfield.
According to reports, Jurgen Klopp had identified Nunes as the next cog in his midfield, which on the face of it needs an overhaul in the coming years.
‘Liverpool have defined Matheus Nunes as a priority for the new season and are preparing to start negotiations with Sporting with a view to signing him’, they report, with a deal worth 45m euros plus 5m euros in add-ons thought to be the asking price.
