Foreign Ministry clears Ruto and Mudavadi for a 12-day trip to the United States
Ruto and Mudavadi to grace Carnegie Africa Program in the US
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has given Ruto and Mudavadi, among other allies, permission to travel to the United States of America and the United Kingdom.
The second-in-command will leave the country on Sunday, February 27, escorted by ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi and other delegates, according to reports.
Ruto will attend high-level talks with top government officials, elected leaders, global policy think tanks, and Kenyans in diaspora throughout the tour, which will last roughly 12 days.
According to a tweet from the Carnegie Africa Program, the DP will speak at Georgia University on March 2 at the Carnegie Africa Conversation on Politics and Policy.
The meeting will be presided by Karen Bass, the chair of the US House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health and Human Rights. ” The conversation will be moderated by CEIP Africa Program Director Zee Usman and Georgetown University’s Ken Opale,” read the meeting’s poster.
On March 4, Ruto will meet Kenyans at Mt Calvary Baptist, in Washington and then travel to the UK to deliver a speech at King College in London.
