Gideon Moi mourns death of KANU Executive Director

KANU National Chairman Gideon Moi has mourned the death of KANU Executive Director Job Waka

KANU National Chairman Gideon Moi has mourned the death of KANU Executive Director Job Waka.

In a statement on Tuesday, September 3, Moi revealed that Waka died on Tuesday morning after a long battle with cancer.

The former Baringo Senator noted that Waka passed away in the presence of his family.

“It is with a deep sense of loss that we mourn the demise of the Executive Director of KANU, Mr. Job Waka. The late Waka rested in the presence and warmth of his family earlier this morning, after a brave battle with cancer,” read the statement in part.

Moi mentioned that the late Waka served the KANU party for over ten years and rose through the ranks to become one of the youngest chief executives of a political party.

He said that the KANU executive director discharged his mandate with utmost professionalism and high regards for ethics.

Moi eulogized Waka as a charming, outgoing, and loving individual who had a never-ending sense of humor.

“Throughout his time, he discharged his mandate with utmost professionalism and high regard for ethics. At a personal level, he was a charming, loving, outgoing, and affable soul with a never-ending sense of humor. As a father, he deeply loved his two children, spending most of his time with them and creating lasting memories,” Moi stated.

The KANU chairman further sent his condolences to the family of Waka and wished them God’s comfort.

Moi also vowed to support the family in every step as they mourn the loss of their Kin.

“I convey my condolences to his family, especially his beloved wife Florence Nzila Waka, and his two children. May God’s comfort and grace cover them during this difficult and forlorn moment of grief. We assure the family that we will support and walk with them every step of the way as they come to terms with this loss,” Moi added.
