Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza celebrates Gachagua’s impeachment as she backs Kithure Kindiki.
Meru governor Kawira Mwangaza, known for having had her fair share of impeachment battles, appears pleased by Rigathi Gachagua’s removal from office.
Speaking at the KICC following the swearing-in of the new deputy president, Mwangaza voiced her support for Kithure Kindiki.
She appeared to express excitement over the country having a new deputy president following Gachagua’s removal from office.

“I am so happy today that we have a new deputy president of the Republic of Kenya. The larger part of Meru is so happy and we thank God for it,” Mwangaza said. She stated that the people of Meru are pleased with President William Ruto’s choice for deputy.
“It is marvellous in our eyes. Kindiki is our son, and we know that through his leadership and our president’s leadership, the entire country will be united,” she added. She confirmed that she was among the country’s leaders who congratulated Kindiki when the court lifted orders blocking his swearing-in.
