The National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) has cautioned Kenyans after a truck carrying sodium cyanide overturned at Rironi area along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway.

“Several containers have been reported missing. The public is cautioned that the contents of the containers are extremely harmful and should immediately report to the nearest police station or chief’s office if they spot the containers,” NEMA remarked.

She added, “Protective Measures Proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, and eye protection is essential when handling sodium cyanide to prevent direct exposure.”
